Welcome! I’m Yusuph Mazimu, a dedicated professional with a passion for Journalism, Research, Community development, and language translation. My career is a blend of storytelling, investigation, and hands-on involvement in community projects, all aimed at fostering positive change and informed societies.

With over 20 years of experience in multimedia journalism, currently at BBC Swahili in Tanzania, I have mastered reporting, editing, and producing compelling news stories. Additionally, I have 10 years of experience in community development through my entity, First Eye Organisation, leading women and girls' empowerment projects from 2014 to 2019.

As an English to Swahili Translator with over 10 years of experience, I notably translated Manchester United's Premier League content for Swahili-speaking subscribers in Tanzania during the 2013/2014 season. My decade-long research expertise spans poverty and development, gender, business, cooperatives, agriculture, urban development, finance, and economics.
